Motto

The Key Club Motto is "Caring - Our Way of Life." Through Key Club's work in the home, school, and community,

Key Club members have learned that their organization is built around the concept of caring. With this concept as the foundation of the organization, Key Club will continue to be an effective and contributing organization in our schools and communities.

Pledge

I pledge on my honor to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school, and community; to serve my nation and God, and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

Objectives

  • To develop initiative and leadership.

  • To provide experience in living and working together.

  • To serve the school and community.

  • To prepare for useful citizenship.

  • To cooperate with the school principal.

  • To accept and promote the following ideals:

    • To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.

    • To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

    • To promote the adoption and application of higher standards in scholarship, sportsmanship, and social contracts.

    • To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.

    • To provide a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render unselfish service, and to build better communities.

    • To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which will make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

What is Key Club?

Key Club International is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It's a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Members of Key Club, a part of the Kiwanis International family, build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Key Club strives to make the world a better place one community at a time, and it is our mission to recruit members who are willing to dedicate themselves to placing other people's needs before their own.

Why Should You Join?

When most people hear the two words "Key Club," they think "a club that makes keys." It's true, we do make keys, but not keys to houses or cars -- We make keys that open doors to opportunities. Key Club will make you a better person. Don't do it just for the college application; do it because you want to learn and try something new.

Mascots & Colors

We, along with Buchanan, Clovis East, Clovis High, Clovis West, Liberty, and Minarets are a pat of the Division 5 North Key Club. Our Divisional mascot is a Corgi. We "Bark with Service" with our black, orange, and white colors. Our Division is also part of Region 12 and the Cali-Nev-Ha (CNH) District. We cooperate with many other high school divisions within California, Nevada, and Hawai'i, and the District mascot is a bee under the black and yellow colors.
